Tides & Titans - 3 Days Game Fishing Trip in Andaman Islands

Exclusively with Andaman Yacht Rentals - MV Brindle Bass

Enter a fish offshore adventure tour that is created to suit individuals who have more than a fishing holiday in mind. The Tides & Titans -3 Day game fishing expedition is an expertly organised tour to the deep and comparatively unexploited waters of the Andaman Islands, whereby the excitement of the catch is combined with the enormity of the open sea. The package is designed to focus on one thing, and that is to spend as much of your time as possible fishing and also discovering the richest and most dependable fishing fields in Long Island, the South Button Island, and the Middle Andaman.

This will be unlike the traditional packages where travel and activity are combined, but in this expedition, logistics and experience are separated, and all three days are spent on game fishing. You are either a seasoned angler out in pursuit of your next trophy catch, or you are an amateur willing to have an offshore fishing adventure of your own. This trip will provide the perfect blend of technique, location and timing, which are the three important ingredients that make a fishing trip successful.

The Concept Behind Tides & Titans

The Andaman Sea is a marine ecosystem with a high predator population. Yet, the fortunes in fishing in these waters lie not only in fortune, but also in tactics, time and knowledge about the behaviour of fish. This multi-day format has a great possibility to experience more active fish than the single-day trips, when time and coverage are limited.

The Tides & Titans Expedition is built around a dynamic fishing approach:

  • Moving between multiple high-probability fishing zones

  • Adjusting techniques based on tides, currents, and bait activity

  • Targeting both reef-based and pelagic species

  • Allowing enough time across days to identify and return to active zones

Why Long Island, South Button & Middle Andaman

1. Long Island Waters

The offshore fishing in the Andamans has a starting location that is the most dependable in the island, and this is found in Long Island because it has a unique mix of reef systems, underwater formations, and lines of currents. The waters around it are highly populated by coral reefs and natural drop-offs that further bring in large schools of baitfish, which attract predator species as well. The presence of these transition areas between the reefs and deep waters provides the perfect habitats to the hunting fish like Giant Trevall,y which engages in aggressive surface attacks. The conditions in early mornings and tidal movements also increase the activities in this area, and this makes it very productive for popping and jigging. There is also a relatively low level of fishing pressure on Long Island, which implies that the fish are not as wary and therefore makes it more likely to get action and good strikes.

2. South Button Island

South Button Island is situated inside a sheltered marine national park zone, and is a site of high biodiversity in the sea, as well as having a pristine environment. These waters are not much affected, and marine life flourishes and makes a natural, rich feeding ground for bigger predators. It is also encircled with good coral reefs, and the deeper waters are only a few feet away, creating an ideal reef and offshore fishing in a small radius. This allows the ability to alternate methods between popping, jigging and trolling as the conditions change. South Button is especially fruitful in such species as Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and Wahoo, which are often the most productive and provide the most intense and action-filled fishing experience of the trip, based on its ecological advantage and least disturbance.

3. Middle Andaman Offshore Belt

The Offshore fishery in the Middle Andaman extends the fishing experience to deeper, more open waters where large pelagic species are known to be quite prevalent. In this area, there are strong lines of currents, deep channels, and extensive tracts of ocean which facilitate the active fish migration. It is particularly useful in trolling, whereby the angler can cover a broader area and, at the same time, track schools of fish in motion. The deeper horizons are also available to jigging in the high-probability regions in which the large predators are likely to be. This area has relatively uncharted areas to fish and active ocean environments, which provide an increased risk of large and fast-travelling species. The crew can easily adjust to the actual fish activity on the spot because of its flexibility, and thus is an important element of the total fishing scheme.

Fishing Techniques Explained

  • Popping: One of the methods used in surface fishing to entice aggressive predators, such as the Giant Trevally. It is one of the most thrilling approaches through the visual blows and lightning blows.
  • Jigging: A very deep water method in which rods are lowered vertically with weighted lures and pulled with a motion. Perfect for targeting Dogtooth Tuna and any other deep-sea species.
  • Trolling: One method is dragging lures behind the moving boat, where large areas are covered in the most efficient manner possible. It works very well with the pelagic species such as the Tuna and Wahoo.

Target Species Overview

  • Giant Trevally (GT): Known for its aggressive strikes and strength

  • Dogtooth Tuna: A powerful deep-sea predator

  • Yellowfin Tuna: Fast, strong, and highly sought after

  • Wahoo: Known for speed and sharp strikes

  • Sailfish: A seasonal bonus species known for acrobatics

Ultimate Offshore Game Fishing Experience in the Andaman Islands

The Tides & Titans Expedition is not only the hunting of fish, but the rhythm of the sea, the study of the behaviour of sea life, and an activity involving patience, skill, and strategy. Each session is special and rewarding in its own right, as every minute on the water is determined by such natural factors as tides, currents, bait movement, etc. The trip will also allow us to venture into some of the least-exploited and productive waters in the area that are not beset by the tourism trails. Anglers enjoying the benefits of having access to reef systems, deep drop-offs, and broad offshore channels can enjoy the full gamut of game fishing conditions in one trip.

Such diversity not only enhances the prospect of viewing a variety of species but also makes the experience lively and interesting at the same time. It can be the adrenaline rush of hitting the record and hitting it hard on the surface, the technicality of deep-water jigging, or the prospect of trolling in the open waters; the experience is meant to ensure that the angler is occupied on all fronts. The expedition has a balance between performance and comfort with the support of a strong ship and a seasoned crew that is able to give the guests full attention to the fishing.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no previous experience that is mandatory to participate in the Tides & Titans Expedition. The staff of MV Brindle Bass will help you with methods, working equipment, and coach you through the process. Amateurs will be able to learn at ease, with the seasoned angler able to sharpen their skills.

Game fishing may be physically active, particularly with heavy fish such as GT or Tuna. Nevertheless, you can take a break whenever you feel like it, and the experience can be slowed down according to your comfort level. The ship also has room to rest during the breaks.

Yes, you can bring your own rods, reels and lures in case you wish. Most expert fishermen prefer to use their own system because they are used to it and it is effective. Nevertheless, the usual fishing equipment is already on board.

Fishing plans are never set according to weather and sea conditions, as they are always altered according to the weather and sea conditions. The crew pays attention to predictions and could change places or dates. Scheduling, rescheduling, or contingency plans can be proposed in difficult situations.

Catch and release is promoted particularly for some species and sizes. It assists in making the fish populations in the area sustainable. Nevertheless, there is a possibility of retaining a certain number of anglers depending on the rules and the preference of the guests.

Connectivity to the network is not possible beyond the offshore waters. The majority of fishing areas on Long Island and the Middle Andaman have a poor signal or no signal. This allows them to experience more immersion and distraction-free.

Essentials and snacks are served on the board during fishing. Visitors are able to order their diets in advance, and they can be made accordingly. Requirements before the trip are suggested.

Early in the morning is the usual time to start fishing, as the fish are most active at this time. Times of starting can be different due to tides, weather, and place. Early start contributes towards productive sessions.

Although the trip is aimed at fishing, non-fishermen may attend the trip and experience the offshore life as well. It is pleasant even without fishing due to the peaceful environment, picturesque roads, and an open view of the ocean. But it is advisable to be interested in marine activities.

Light clothes, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) and comfortable shoes are recommended. It is also possible to carry along personal necessities, medications and any snacks that one may prefer. Light but ready to spend many hours in the water.
